Shia terrorist group backed by Iran and Bashar Al-Assad crossed all the limits yesterday when they exhumed the shrine of the Muslim Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz who was the grandson of the second Muslim Caliph and the great companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, Umar bin Khattab (Ra).
The terrorist group raided the tomb in the town of Deir Sharqi near Maarat al-Numan city in Idlib and took away all the remains of the graves located in the shrine.
The whole incident came into notice after the pro-regime pages posted the videos of the raiders vandalizing the grave and exhuming the bodies (the remains). The video shows the grave of the Caliph, his wife and servent exhumed and desecrated.
The town was captured by the terrorist group in February this year and the shrine was burned down causing material damages.

This heinous act of the Shiites caused huge anger among Sunnis who believe Umar bin Abdul Aziz as a pious Caliph unlike his Umayyad predecessors who were corrupt and immoral.
He holds high esteem in the eyes of Sunnis because of his just ruling, piety, pious and ruling on the basis of Qur’an and Hadith.
He was also the descendant of the greatly acclaimed and pious companion of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Umar bin Khattab (Ra).
Umar bin Abdul Aziz ruled for 2 years and 5 months in the beginning of the 8th century.
Shiites traces their enmity to Umayyads from Yazid ibn Muawiyah who martyred the grandson of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ Hussain (Ra) and his 72 companions as the Battle of Karbala in 680AD.
Shiites have gone far in destroying and vandalizing Sunni’s tomb since early times. The terrorist groups loyal to Iran and Assad have earlier exhumed graves and shrines and stole the bodies of Sunni scholars, leaders and officers.
