We have heard of many stories about the mother’s love but today it is about son’s love to his mother. A boy named Umer Farooq Bajwa helped his mother by donating his liver to safe her live. The mother was saved but the son could not survive. He died in Sargodha, Pakistan.
Today, he breathe his last. He was a student of Agronomy in a university. Suddenly, he realized that her mother was in pain and she urgently need a liver transplant. And liver is an expansive organ and is not readily available. Finding no way out, he decided to donate his liver to his mother to save her life.
The mother was so happy to see her son’s love for her but she was also very sad being a mother as she knew it would risk her son’s life. The mother at first was not willing to go for the liver transplant because she did not want to risk her son’s life but the son forced her and insisted her to go for it.
They both admitted to the hospital. Soon, the operation began. The operation was successful and she recovered quickly but unfortunately, the son could not survive. He sacrificed his life for his mother. The boy was too young. He was thinking about his future life but realizing that his mother is in pain, he forgot everything and his only aim was to save his mother.
It teaches us many lesson. Life is not straight. It has ups and downs. It will change you and it will demand for sacrifices. Sometime you might face these problem. Actually, if Allah loves you, He will test you and He will put you in pains, sufferings and calamities, just to check you how you would deal with the problems. Harder the problems, more the reward you will receive in Jannah.
For a Muslim, Allah says in the Holy Qur’an :
“And most certainly shall We try you by means of danger, and hunger, and loss of worldly goods, of lives and of Labour’s fruits. But give glad tidings unto those who are patient in adversity”. (Quran 2:155)
So, if He deprives a person of this worldly life or part of it and guides him to repentance and bestows on him His mercy and Paradise instead, then this is, in fact, a great gift. Understanding the issue of Allah’s tests takes a while to figure out, but the main rule is true.If you read about the lives of all of God’s Prophets, you will find that they all went through very difficult hardships. It is one of Allah’s consistent and universal laws that when Allah loves someone, He will test him/her with trials in this world.
For this reason, if life is full of difficulties and challenges, one should not be surprised or ask why.And accepting the nature of this worldly life helps the servant acquire virtue and take a very important step in his or her journey to God: Patience with tests.
Patience is a characteristic that delivers the servant into God’s presence:
“Allah is with those who are patient in adversity.” (Al-Baqarah 2:153)
And if we are in Allah’s presence, then we need not worry!
May Allah grants Umer Farooq Bajwa highest place in paradise. Our condolescence with his family. May Allah gives them patience. Indeed, He was a great son.
